That is the view of the owners of Godalming's newest business - which they guarantee has something to suit all tastes.
Deco Cafe specialises in a huge range of sandwiches, including the famed Double Deco and the Deco Doorstep. All are made to order using different breads and rolls and the widest possible selection of fillings.
Sandwiches have come a long way since the 4th Earl created the first one in 1762, so he could eat with one hand and continue his card game with the other.
Deco Cafe is at the cutting edge of sandwich making with the most modern facilities but giving "old-fashioned" service - that warm, welcoming hospitality and efficiency expected in our grandparents' days but which remains timeless.
The only problem facing customers is deciding what sandwich to order, such is the appetising spread of possibilities - cheese, ham on the bone, egg, tuna, prawn, salmon, salt beef, roast beef, crispy bacon, crayfish, roast chicken - plus all the additional optional fillings.
"We are a sandwich bar with a difference, modern but at the same time giving traditional service, something which is lacking in so many businesses these days.
"We aim to have satisfied customers and we cater for whatever they want, on the spot, so that they get the very best and freshest food available.
